It is essential to your case that you understand what caused you to fall; for example, was there a foreign substance on the floor? Or, did you trip over your shoelaces? Was there an object impeding your path? For the best chance at pressing a claim, you must know everything you can about what the hazard is; anything that indicates how long the hazard has been there is important to your case as well.
